So I weighed in this morning at 162.2 which puts me at 8lbs loss on Day 12. I am pretty happy with these results so far and am definitely thinking I will be signing up for another 3 months in order to reach my goal weight of 135.
I have really cut back on my portions and notice I feel full a lot sooner than I used to. I am not getting the same effects on energy as I was before but it could be all the stress from work and home. Plus we spent 4 days on vacation and I just didn't sleep as well while not sleeping in my own bed.
Seeing the scale go down has really helped me stay on track even when I really wanted to give up and wallow in self pity in a carton of ice cream. I won't turn this into a pity party so for now- my experience on this weight loss program has been nothing but positive. I am hopeful I will be able to hit my month go of 155 in time for my baby's third birthday.

Medical Weight Loss
I have been trying to lose weight since the birth of my last baby almost 3 years ago. I got within 15lbs of my goal only to regain 20lbs. I can't seem to break back into the 140s. I am just always hungry and just really don't have the energy to go work out. I decided to try a medical weight loss place that was celebrating it's grand opening so they were offering a special deal. For $75 you get a 30 day supply of phentermine (an appetite suppressant), a B12 shot, and consultation with a doctor.
I went yesterday because I wanted to get started as soon as possible. I am hoping this will be the little edge I need to get back on track. I had lost 20lbs using the slow carb diet but have put all 20lbs back on since Thanksgiving. I am not at a comfortable weight and I now only have 1 pair of jeans that fit. Obviously getting dressed everyday is tough and it just takes a toll on you mentally when nothing in your closet fits. I suppose I could go buy new clothes but I just don't have clothes in a size I don't want to be in for long on my monthly budget.
I am going to track this journey. I have signed up for just 30 days but depending on how it goes I plan to sign up for the 3 month membership. My goal for April is to lose 15lbs. I hope to be 155 when we go to Disney on May 1 for my baby's third birthday. That's my short term goal- my ultimate goal is to get to 135 and back into all my pre-baby clothes.
I don't plan to treat this as some kind of miracle weight loss drug- my plan is for this just to give me an advantage. I plan to eat right (obviously smaller portions) and workout regularly. The truth is I LOVE the gym. It used to be my quiet time. It used to be seeing how much stronger and faster I had gotten. Now, it seems like work. I feel uncomfortable with my size and with starting at zero with my fitness. My I am hoping to get back to the place where I looked forward to working out.
My Day 1 was yesterday and here are my thoughts so far: It definitely took away my hunger and gave me energy. I didn't feel like I needed more sleep and actually felt well rested. I had a protein bar for breakfast and due to being at my dad's house I settled for a zaxby's kids chicken finger meal, and had string cheese when we got home super late. I definitely plan to make better food choices today then yesterday but I was under on my calorie goals and I spent the whole afternoon playing outside with the kids. I woke up early today and even after 6.5 hours of sleep I woke up feeling well rested. Looking forward to Day 2 and hopefully seeing that scale go down.
